‘Tis the Season for Giving

The holiday season is officially upon us! For many people, that means the season of giving is here as well. This year, you can give an extra special gift, one that will continue to serve kids well – a donation to Caris Sports Foundation.

A donation to CSF will help families meet the costs associated with recreational and competitive sports. Only 34 percent of kids ages 6 to 12 from homes with incomes of $25,000 or less played team sports compared to 69 percent of kids from homes with incomes of $100,000 or more. Your donation can help close that gap for Arizona residents in kindergarten through 12th grade.

Playing team sports has numerous advantages, including forging new friendships, learning the value of hard work, learning to win and lose with grace, competition and personal growth. Playing organized sports can also help the fight against childhood obesity and promote healthier lifestyles. Team sports’ benefits extend beyond the field of play. According to Project Play from the Aspen Institute, physical activity is also associated with improved academic achievement.

CSF offers two forms of financial support, one for competitive club-level sports and one for recreational sports. So no matter what a child’s level of athletic ability is, you can rest assured that your donation will go to a great cause.

With the holidays fast approaching, you can give the gift of sports to a family in need and know that they’ll feel the effects long after the season ends.
